Just because a house is newly built does not mean that it is problem free. Building code inspectors only inspect a small percentage of any project. We have found in newly built houses, significant deficiencies ranging from overloaded structural components to improperly designed and malfunctioning air conditioning equipment to roof leaks.
Inspecting a newly built house, while it is still covered under the LA New Home Warranty Act, can give you a list of things that have to be repaired under that warranty. Neglecting these problems will likely lead to expensive repairs at some point in the future, such as when you sell the home.
