Mold Sampling and Analysis
Mold thrives in moist places. It goes without saying: Louisiana is a moist place.
Mold always occurs due to moisture-related issues within a building. To get to the root of a mold problem, the Gurtler Brothers diagnoses moisture and mold problems at the same time.
First, we use our infrared imaging and other diagnostic tools to determine the source of the moisture so that the moisture can be eliminated. We test the air to determine exactly what types of molds you have so that the remediator has the information he needs to do his work completely.
Then, we work with different mediators to eliminate your contamination. We follow up with the mediators to ensure that both the moisture contributing to the mold problem is resolved and the actual mold growth is eliminated.
Many Louisiana residents are unaware that a toxic home or workplace could be contributing to their negative health symptoms. The symptoms of indoor mold exposure can include…
- headache
- sore throat
- runny nose
- coughing/sneezing
- watery eyes
- fatigue
In addition, asthmatic residents can suffer from an increased frequency of asthma attacks due to indoor mold exposure.
The most common types of molds found in Louisiana homes and commercial properties are Cladosporium, Penicillium, Alternaria, and Aspergillus. We also test for Stachybotrys (one of several species of black mold), which can complicate preexisting health issues and cause headaches.
The Gurtler Brothers recommend that you inspect for mold when…
- You see mold, which can propagate under various colors such as green, blue, black, or white
- Moving into a new home
- Water damage occurs
- A property has been unoccupied for an extended duration
We provide mold sampling and analysis to help rid your property of nasty smells, ensure proper air quality, and keep your lungs safe. We strictly follow the EPA Guidelines and IICRC Standards for mold sampling and remediation.
